The SAF CBX46 Air Suspension / Slider Axle System is the tandem slider solution for On/Off highway van and reefer trailers. The SAF CBX46 Air Suspension Slider Axle System is one of the lightest suspension systems available on the market today using 80 KSI high strength steel to enhance structural rigidity.

SwingAlign™
The industry's fastest and most convenient axle alignment system requiring no replacement parts or disassembly. Axle alignment is achieved by direct adjustment of the lead screw, requiring less than 250 ft. lbs. (340Nm) of torque.
QWIK RELEASE® Pin Pulling System
Patented QWIK RELEASE makes slider adjustment safe, easy, and efficient. Qwik Release allows one person to reposition the slider and eliminates the headache of bound-up pins. Standard on all of our slider suspensions.
PosiLok™
PosiLok solves dock walk and squat. It's advanced design minimizes stresses and flexing through a direct slider-suspension-axle load path. Operationally, a positive lock out of components effectively transfers loading from the air bags to the PosiLok mechanism for stable and safe loading / unloading operation.
BLACK ARMOUR® Metal Treatment
The BLACK ARMOUR® metal protection process chemically bonds with metal to form a protective skin that is impervious to water and anti-icing chemicals. BLACK ARMOUR® is paint compatible without pre-sanding. If scratched, BLACK ARMOUR® inhibits the spread of creep corrosion.
This eco-friendly metal treatment provides remarkable protection without the added weight and cost of galvanization.

SAF Drum Brake - Standard
The SAF standard configuration features a 5.75' diameter axle tube with 16.5' x 7' extended life brake linings, and industry standard tapered spindles.
Available options for the SAF Drum Brake include: Parallel Spindle, Dust Shields, 16.5' x 8.625' Drum Brakes, Fully Dressed Wheel Ends, Automatic Slack Adjusters, Brake Chambers and Tire Inflation Prep.

Constructed with thicker 80 KSI high strength steel for a 31% increase in overall structural rigidity to resist racking and buckling for extended service life.
Lightweight Cast Steel Trailing Arm Design
Rated for 23,000 lb. capacity per axle.

Capacity enhanced to meet on/off highway application demands. TOFC compatible with a standard pneumatic dump valve.
Auto PosiLift System
For automatic fuel and tire savings, spec the Auto PosiLift™ system.
The patented Auto-PosiLift™ feature is programmed through an ABS with lift axle control to automatically lift the front axle when the system senses that only one axle is necessary to carry the load.
